OUTCOME: Jones by TKO
ANDY'S PICK: Jones by Decision
THE PAYOUT:
-3.0 Units
Despite the above prediction I implore you Mr. Jones to please stop fighting and preserve your legacy before something unfortunate happens.
Ok that said here's how I feel about the fight.
Omar Sheika has not fought in a year and a half since beating the sad excuse for a tomato can, Tiwon Taylor. In the past four years he has only fought twice. He has lost six of his last ten fights and hasn't beaten a worthy foes since his majority decision over Glen Johnson nearly ten years ago. Jones on the other hand fought twelve grueling rounds back in November with arguably the best fighter in the world (Calzaghe) and before that, in January he gave Felix Trinidad (yes a faded, overweight Felix Trinidad, but nevertheless, Felix Trinidad) a methodical twelve round beating.
On paper it appears that Omar Sheika is coming out of retirement to be the sacrificial lamb for yet another inadvisable comeback attempt by Roy Jones. However, because of his work rate and ring toughness, he does have a puncher's chance. However I believe that Jones will be the quicker, craftier man and, despite a far lower work rate, will keep Sheika at bay, handing him a rather dull twelve round drubbing. Despite Sheika being a natural super middleweight I don't believe the size differential will be a significant factor and Jones' pitter patter punching should not prove lethal to the iron chinned Sheika. As for the possibility of Jones getting knocked out, well if Calzaghe couldn't do it it seems rather unlikely that Sheika will do the trick.
The bet here is a simple one. Three units on Jones by boring decision at +150. Unless Sheika is doing this solely for one last paycheck it seems very unlikely that he'll be dropped, let alone knocked out. Good luck!

Plenty of good CEOs are bullies - the answer is to keep out of his way and if he lets rip at you, not to take it too personally.
