This fight is easy money.
Lacy has an iron chin and terrible boxing skills. Jermain has a very durable chin and terrific boxing skills. Lacy has barely gotten by on his last three decisions against mediocre competition. Taylor, despite losing twice to Kelly Pavlik, outboxed Bernard Hopkins twice.
I expect Taylor to use his jab effectively and neutralize Lacy's attack. Jermain who has been an easy target for right hands in the past is fighting a guy who only has a left hook. Lacy can't touch Jermain with his biggest weapon, especially since he won't be able to get near him.
I don't see Taylor taking many risks in this fight so I don't even expect him to go for the knockout. I expect a rather boring and lopsided 12-round decision. The fact that these guys were teammates in the Olympics would further strengthen my thesis that this will be a glorified sparring match.
The way to bet this fight is simple. Taylor by decision at +110. It's a gift that you're getting better than even odds on what I believe is a foregone conclusion. Good Luck!!
