OUTCOME: Malignaggi by Unanimous Decision
ANDY'S PICK: Malignaggi by Unanimous Decision
THE BET: THE PAYOUT: First off lets make it absolutely clear that Ngdoujo, despite being a genuinely tough guy and a capable fighter, is way out of his league here. He barely got past a washed up Randall Bailey in his last fight and lost a decision to "has-been of the year", Jose Luis Castillo prior to that. More importantly, his only knockout in the past three years came against Jose Carlos Alderete (who??) and if Malignaggi went twelve rounds with Miguel Cotto It will be a cold day in hell before he is counted out by the light-punching Ngdoujo. On the flip side, Malignaggi has proven time and time again that despite being a flashy, entertaining boxer he could probably lose a punching contest with Sanjaya from American Idol. His last knockout came four and a half years ago against the legendary Kevin Watts, who incidentally, followed that match by getting knocked out in four of his next five matches before gracefully retiring. The bottom line is unless the Magic Man brings a loaded Glock 9mm into the ring he's not hurting anyone. I think my point is clear, but rather than betting on Malignaggi at -800, take the OVER at -450 and enjoy the easiest money you'll ever win outside of betting your 3-year old son to an arm-wrestling match.
9.0 Units on the OVER at -450
2.0 Units
Well this snoozer of a matchup does not bode well for the remainder of 2008 nor for Showtime's ability to retain its fanbase. However, the one redeeming quality of this glorified sparring session is that it offers the opportunity to win almost "free" money on the over/under.

Hattons chances of winning this fight was sharpley reduced by over and poor referying in the first 6 rounds. and english Hatton fans that booed the american national anthem had to affect american judging, rightfully so. Poor ricky a chance to win slim to none.
